Game of Sic-bo

Sic Bo, which means "dice pair" is one of the earliest gambling games that derived from China. Although found in many casinos, it wasn't received with huge popularity & is often only found in special games containing Asian orientated games. The equipment for the game comprises of a table showing numerous types of bets, together with 3 dice with are rolled on the table. Depending on the casino, the odds can vary, but either way the best bets for the game with the least house advantage are the "high" and "low" bets.

This is one of the most simplistic games to play and all that the player has to choose are either the separate numbers that will appear on both dice, or on the total of the two dice together. The different wagers and the respective payments are shown on the table displaying their many different combinations. You can bet on single dice, two dice the same, three the same, or other variations of the dice.

High: You win if the dice total is between 11 to 17, not including "three of a kind" (three dice same number). The odds of this win are 48.61 percent and payoff is 1:1. The edge of the casino is 2.78 percent.

Low: You win if the dice total is between 4 to 10, not including "three of a kind" (three dice same number). The odds of this win are 48.61 percent and payoff is 1:1. The edge of the casino is 2.78 percent.

TYPES OF BETS

Sic Bo actually offers a repertoire of seven specific bets that players can make:

You can bet on any of the dice's six sides, one through to six. Should any 1 of the dice then display that number, the wager is paid at 1 to 1. Should 2 of the dice show the same number, the wager is then paid at 2 to 1. And finally three dice, all with the same number, is paid at 3 to 1.

You may make a wager that two specific numbers will appear; should they show on two of the die, then the payment is 5 to 1.

Bets can also be made for the total of the three dice together, choosing any number from four to seventeen. The payment for this, depending on the total chosen, can vary from 6 to 1 up until 50 to 1.

As already mentioned, another wager is on "High" (big 11-17) or "Low" (small 4-10), which gives the payoff of 1 to 1.

You may bet that a specific number will appear on all dice, which gives the largest payoff of 150 to 1.

If you wanted to wager that nay "three-of-a-kind" would appear, this pays 24 to 1.

Lastly, you can wager that any numerical pair would appear on any of the three dice, which pays 8 to 1.

GAME PLAY

At the start of play, players must position their chips according to the betting section they choose. You must ensure that the bets are placed correctly as there can be no change once the dice are rolled. After wagers have been made, the dealer will rattle the dice in a shaker and quickly place it upside down on the table. The winning number are announced by the dealer and then entered into an electronic display board positioned at the table. Finally the only thing left to do is to pay the winnings.
